Cork-back coaster celebrating the twin clock towers of the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool. Designed by Walter Aubrey Thomas and completed in 1911, this Pier Head landmark is famous as Europe's first skyscraper. A masterpiece of Edwardian Baroque architecture, it is best known for the two mythical Liver Birds (Bella and Bertie) that perch on its spires, watching over the River Mersey and the city. It is a symbol of Liverpool's maritime history and famously served as a filming location for Gotham City in The Batman.
