Mouse pad celebrating the commanding silhouette of the Muirhead Tower at the University of Birmingham. Designed by Sir Philip Dowson (Arup Associates) and completed in 1971, this Brutalist masterpiece is defined by its massive concrete "fins" and its dominating presence over the Edgbaston campus. For generations of students, it is the building of legends—famous for the "wind tunnel" effect at its base, the memory of its terrifying Paternoster lifts, and the enduring myth that it was built backwards. It is the ultimate keepsake for UoB (University of Birmingham) alumni and lovers of bold, brutalist 20th-century architecture.
