Ceramic mugs with colorful rims, handles, and insides celebrating Liverpool's iconic trio of architectural masterpiece on the Mersey at Pier Head, the glorious and appropriately nicknamed Three Graces, glories of the British Edwardian high point of imperial grandeur and beauty. The three buildings that make up the composition are the tallest, the Royal Liver Building, which was opened in 1911 as the the purpose-built home of the Royal Liver Assurance group, it was designed by Walter Aubrey Thomas. The middle edifice is the Cunard Building, completed in 1917, it was designed by William Edward Willink and Philip Coldwell Thicknesse as the headquarters of the Cunard Line. The be-domed beauty to the east is the Port of Liverpool Building, designed by Sir Arnold Thornely and F.B. Hobbs, it was completed in 1907 as the headquarters of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board.
