It is the most famous silhouette in the history of Miami.
The Atlantis Condominium is more than just a building; it is the symbol of the 1980s. Designed by the legendary firm Arquitectonica and completed in 1982, it became world-famous the moment it appeared in the opening credits of Miami Vice.
With its reflective blue glass, primary colour grid, and the iconic 5-storey "Sky Court"—a square hole cut through the center of the building holding a palm tree, a jacuzzi, and a gorgeous spiral staircase—it defined the "Miami Modern" style. It was a radical, postmodern rejection of the boring beige box, proving that architecture could be fun, sexy, and bold.
Beyond TV, it famously served as the exterior for Frank Lopez’s mansion in the movie Scarface. Whether you are a fan of 80s synth-wave aesthetics, a student of Postmodernism, or a lover of Miami history, this collection celebrates the building that put Brickell Avenue on the map.
