Designed by Covell, Matthews & Partners and completed in 1965, this complex includes the soaring City Tower and the famous textured concrete facades that overlook Piccadilly Gardens. Once controversial, it is now celebrated as a masterpiece of the Space Age aesthetic and a symbol of Manchester's post-war ambition.
